For a long time I have had other site owners showing a desire to offer a link to my site, which sometimes included a request for my advertising banner. This was a problem, when for a long time I did not advertise at all, and I was just too damned busy to ever spend hours creating some suitable banners myself.

So during August and September 2001 I decided to solve this problem by running a little competition, where for some prize money those with the desire could create some for me. And due to the number of banners received during this time I could then pick out the best ones for my site use.

This means that the banners seen here now belong to myself, when I paid a total of for their use. Now while I provide uncontrolled access for you to put them anywhere and everywhere you please, there are just two things that I do not allow you to do.

First as these banners are copyrighted, then you are not allowed to modify the banner graphics for any reason. And second is that you are not to use my banners to link to any other site besides mine. As that is simple enough to avoid, then you can put these banners on your site, other people's sites, a links page, guest books, forums, discussion groups, and in general anywhere that you wish to mention myself. As my name "Cardman" gets around a lot, then instead of proving a simple http link to my site, why not instead paste in a suitable banner?

The only other thing is that you should not put these banners where they would not be welcomed. Also as I provide no control on where they would be found, then I am in no way responsible for the contents of the site or area displaying one of my banners. Anyway, as they are free enough to put wherever you desire, then even if you wish to break up large sections of text with a cool looking banner then certainly go ahead.

So if you wish to add my banners somewhere, and show your support, then just look below and pick one. And to help you out I have provided suitable HTML code in order to easily paste the chosen banner to your web site. However, if wish to put one of my banners on a forum, then you should check out the right code to do this.

If you are unable to see the cool banner adverts on this page then disable ADBlock on this site. You can always switch it back on later.

Anyway now for my banners...

Flying Cardman (www.cardman.com)

Created By : Luke Short, 2001.

This banner came in 1st place in my banner competition, which won Luke £250. So I certainly hope that you like this banner, when both myself and No2 considered it the best in my competition.

Flying Cardman (www.cardman.co.uk)

Created By : Luke Short, 2001.

This banner was disqualified from my banner competition for mentioning the wrong site, but as I liked it so much I agreed to pay £50 for it anyway. Fortunately, Luke soon made the site name correction, which then produced my 1st prize banner above.

Cards, Programmers and Satellite Equipment

Created By : Adam Masterson, 2001.

This banner came in 2nd place in my banner competition, which earned more then happy Adam £150 for his work. And most pleasing about this banner is a good display of my items and services. Just a shame that he did not spell "satellite" correctly.

Remote Services

Created By : Luke Short, 2001.

With Luke's second entry he won another £100 for having this one come in 3rd place. Now although this banner does not change as often, resulting in being less eye catching, the white background causes it to blend in well with sites like mine.

Make ELVIS Rock!

Created By : Adam Masterson, 2001.

Although this banner did not achieve the top three, which you may find surprising by looking at it, that was because the banner you see here was not the same as that entered in my competition. So only after the colouring and graphics were changed to how I desired did Adam earn another £50.

Actually he instead decided to have an ELVIS instead of the £50, which was oddly a suitable reward for this banner. Anyway ELVIS now rocks a lot better then he used to do, but which ELVIS do I mean?

Circles of Services

Created By : Luke Short, 2001.

This was another good looking banner that did not quite make the top three. And although from the banners above that would have been a damned hard fight, this entry suffered due to the fact that the displayed items were not ones I sold. And so only after my items were displayed did Luke then earn another £50.

The Big ELVIS banner

Created By : Trevor Chappell, 2001.

To begin with then you should note that this banner is 3 times the size of the banners above, but that is hardly a problem when it can load during browsing. And although this banner is now 49kb smaller then it used to be, the reason it did not make the top three was that the original entry in my competition did not mention what ELVIS was.

So now that is fixed then Trevor earned himself £50, but as he later decided to accept a better value offer, then this will be the second ELVIS banner to be paid for by an ELVIS. This is kind of strange when it was these banner creators who expressed a desire swapping their prize money for an ELVIS.

As to you, then you can now have a complete Las Vegas style light show on your site.

Gold Cards and Programmers

Created By : Luke Short, 2001.

This is the first of two banners agreed outside my competition due to the fact that none of the above banners were created on the Low Cost and High Quality Gold Card subject. So for an extra £150 Luke agreed to create two banners on this subject, where this banner is now the first of the two.

As you can no doubt tell all of 4 years later and the second pre-paid for banner has not yet been received. This is no doubt due to a certain event that happened shortly following the first additional banner being created, where for the next four years I have not been in a state in order to give Luke a slap in order to wake him up and remind him about the second one. Note to self: Do that soon.

Fancy pasting a banner somewhere?
